JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a talented and creative Photographer and Videographer to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong portfolio showcasing their ability to capture high-quality photos and videos that align with our brand’s vision and objectives.
This individual should be skilled in both photography and videography, with experience in various styles and techniques.
The Photographer and Videographer will collaborate closely with our marketing and creative teams to create compelling visual content that resonates with our target audience.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Content Creation:
Capture high-quality images that effectively communicate our brand’s message and value proposition.
Plan and execute photo shoots, including setting up lighting, props, and backgrounds as needed.
Edit and retouch photos to ensure a consistent and polished look.
Maintain an organized library of digital assets for easy access and retrieval.
Conceptualize, script, shoot, and edit engaging video content, including product videos, promotional videos, and storytelling pieces.
Operate and maintain video equipment, including cameras, lenses, lighting, and audio gear.
Collaborate with the creative team to develop video concepts that align with marketing campaigns and objectives.
Edit and enhance videos, adding effects, graphics, and soundtracks as needed.
Collaboration:
Work closely with the creative team, marketing team, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliver visuals that align with the brand’s voice and strategy.
Attend creative meetings to brainstorm ideas, share insights, and provide input on visual storytelling.
Adapt to feedback and incorporate necessary changes to improve the quality of visual content.
Identify business opportunities by identifying prospects and evaluating their position in the industry; researching and analysing sales options.
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by organising and attending educational workshops and trainings; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.
Identify service/product improvements or new products/services by remaining current on industry trends, market activities, and competitors.
Develop and implement annual volume growth and profit objectives by products/services.
Assist other departments when necessary.
Equipment and Technical Expertise:
Stay up-to-date with the latest photography and videography trends, techniques, and equipment.
Ensure all equipment is properly maintained, calibrated, and functional for shoots.
Troubleshoot technical issues that may arise during shoots and make necessary adjustments.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
A strong portfolio showcasing proficiency in both photography and videography.
Proficient in using industry-standard photography and videography equipment, software, and tools.
Knowledge of various lighting techniques and equipment for indoor and outdoor settings.
Familiarity with editing software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere Pro, After Effects).
Excellent visual and artistic sense, with a keen eye for detail and composition.
Strong understanding of storytelling through visual media.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines without compromising quality.
Effective communication and collaboration skills to work within a team environment.
Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and creative direction.
Experience in commercial photography and videography is a plus.
Minimum Diploma/HND graduate with a Certificate in Photography, Film Production, Visual Arts, or a related field (preferred).
